Summer Loving

So today, we went to the Rexburg Rapids Water Park.

It was Alex's first time to the swimming pool and I was really excited to see how he'd take it. I was terribly nervous b/c my boy thinks that water is the plague.
He hates baths and showers, and really anything to do with water.

But, actually, he ended up loving it! Which was fantastic!
At first, he was terribly skeptical. He did scream when we first went into the pool, but then I got him interested in the sprinkler in the zero depth end of the pool and he started having fun. We had lunch there and shared a slice of pizza or "pisha" as Alex says it; we also got free slushy samples which Alex devoured. Everything went beautifully and we had loads of fun. The only problems we had the whole time was the couples of times he wandered into the deeper end (1 feet deep) and went head first. But I was right there to catch him, so it was all cool! We shall have to do it again this summer. Perhaps when Daddy is not working, lol.
And the best thing was...
Yesterday...Blake gave him a bath at Michelle's house and he was splashing and having a great time. It's great to see him slowly letting go and overcoming his fears.
