So this summer has been a lot crazier than I was expecting it to be...
we begun the break relaxing in our usual way-renting movies from the library, going to the water park, entertaining grandparents...
BUT...
then my sister Michelle, she and her husband decided to move South to Idaho Falls so that Garry could get a better job with Wal Mart. Well, in the midst of their move, they offered us the opportunity to live in their house.
At first I wasn't sure because I really really loved our apartment at the Lemon's, but after deep consideration Blake and I decided it was for the best. Mostly because Alex has pretty much out grown his crib and needed his own baby proof room with a twin bed. Plus, Michelle was willing to charge really cheap rent (only $380) in exchange for putting my creative juices to work in fixing up the place a bit. That way, after we graduate and figure out what we are doing or after baby #2 comes along (whichever comes first), they can rent the place for a lot more.
So the break then became ensued with packing and cleaning and more packing and more cleaning. We moved out Michelle and Garry on August 18th and then began our move in process. We officially moved in on the 31st and we have been painting and redesigning the place. I took some before photos and I will compare and contrast as soon as the painting is finished.
Living in the trailer, we also got to invest in a family pet. We adopted Mango, our creamsicle cat, on the 21st and we love him. I didn't want a cat, but we were not allowed a dog by the park owners and Blake really wanted an animal for Alex. So I told him that I would pick the cat-cause I kinda hated them. Well, Mango picked me! We went to the shelter for pricing and Mango came right up and wanted my attention. As soon as I touched him he started purring. It was love at first sight. He looks a lot like my old dog Kodo, but in cat form-lol. And the best part was he was half off the adoption price so he was only $35! A steal! So he has integrated himself nicely. Alex loves him and goes around calling his name all the day long. "Man-go, Man-go" says he. Now I just half to teach him not to pull the cats tail or sit on the cat for that matter. lol.
We also were such adults and purchased our first washer/dryer set.
We love it! Our washer is eco friendly (so much so that our dryer doesn't have to do hardly anything). And again, we got it half off. It was originally $1098 and we got it for $547! A steal!
I would post photo, but I must locate my camera. Plus, I wanted to hold off until the painting is finished. So until then!
PS- I went shopping and bought Halloween decor today. Yes tis the season-it is coming!
