The Last Five Months

Ok, people!  I know that is has been forever since my last post, but for those of who have moved cross country-or even across state lines-probably have a little bit of an idea of what the last five months have been like.  To top off the moving craziness, we have yet to set up internet into the apartment and so I have to rely on the beautiful computer lab that is provided by our apartment complex.  We are crossing our fingers and hoping that we will have internet installed by Alex's next birthday.
So, here is an update encircling the last five months of our new adventurous lives in Florida.  I will mostly post photos cause you all know that pictures are worth a thousand words.

All the mothers at my Nana's house on Mother's Day.  This was on our trip.
Four Generation Photo
Left to Right: Dorothy (Nana), Me, Alex, and Susan (my Mom)
Alex at Gran Nana's House!
Florida, we have arrived.  Taken on our first night in the apartment.
Alex chilling in the back of our new friend Sasha's car!
In July, we went to the new Art of Animation Resort at Disney.  It was really cool!
Loving all the artwork
Examining Mater's tooth lol
Lightning McQueen!
The Orlando Florida Temple!
TeaCups at the Magic Kingdom-one September Day.
Spinning! AHHHH
Having so much fun!  He loves getting to go to Disney all the time.  We love making great family memories.
Happy 27th Bday Daddy! He's helping to open the gifts! lol
Bday Boy loving his gifts!  His favorite, you may ask?  Once Upon a Time season one on DVD.  Now he can relive the magic anytime he wants.
Decorating for Halloween!  Making decorative paper chains!
See!
Apartment Photos Time!  It took nearly six months to accumulate all this furniture.  We didn't bring any of the stuff you see with us.   God provided it all-free of charge.  The couch w/pillows, painting, lamp, table under the DVDs, VHS/DVD combo player-all free!
Another view of the living room.  The armchair and bookshelf-again, all free and provided to us by God.
The other side of the living room with an office area.  The desk and office chair and table lamp-also free.
Alex's Bedroom.  The apartment came with a washer and dryer, so ours are currently in storage.  Do you love the creative way I turned a dryer into a toy shelf?
The dining room!  We just acquired this beautiful set from our Bishop's family!
Halloween Table Setting.  I handmade those place mats while in Amarillo.  I have a set for every holiday and I can't wait to share each one of them with you!
The guest bath.  I don't have photos of the master bath or the master bedroom cause it's still in the works.  We are waiting to get bedroom furniture lol.
More Halloween crafts.
And the finished product with a lot of Mommy's help lol.
Sporting his new Halloween tie that I made at a Super Saturday!
This was supposed to be Alex's Halloween costume that I spent hours working on, but no matter how many times and how hard I tried, he refused to wear it!  So, it became room decor.
Enjoying his new book cubby instead.
Fall decorations at the Magic Kingdom.  This helped me bring a little bit of the fall here which helped my autumn nostalgia immensely.
Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.

We welcomed a visit from Blake's parents this year too!  It was a blast to have them visit!  This is Alex enjoying ice cream with his grandaddy!
About to ride Everest coaster at Animal Kingdom with Blake and his mom.  It is one scary roller coaster and its not for the faint-hearted.
Halloween is finally here!  Getting ready to carve the pumpkin with Daddy!
Waiting patiently.
Blake is a great carver!
Costume time.  I was going for Mother Nature, but I think I look more like a gypsy.
Full outfit!
Trick or treat!  He was so great and got the hang of it so fast.  My little guy was so polite-I think it took some of the adults by surprise.
Enjoying with the spoils with Mommy.
Sasha being cute!
Happy Halloween everyone!

If you made it to the end of this, I commend you!  I promise that the posts will be much more frequent from here on out and much shorter.  I want to try and post something every week, but we will see.  We have been having a blast and we love and miss all of our friends out across this great nation.  We want all of you to know that we are happy, healthy, and heartfelt.  The Lord is truly blessing us each and everyday.  Our love goes to all of our family and know that we think and pray for you all.  I am working on Thanksgiving preps and can't wait for the season of gratitude to be upon us!  Blake even has off that day-which is definitely a reason to be grateful!
Hugs to everyone!
Love you all!
Til next time.
