Adam Benjamin Jackson

My nephew was born January 11th, 2010 at Madison Memorial Hospital. Michelle went into labor earlier that morning. We received a phone call from her about 10, telling us that her water had broke and that she needed to meet with the doctor at the clinic to confirm an actual start of her labor. We were hoping that it was cause the poor girl was already 5 days past her due and was wanting to be rid of the little squirt...figuratively! Well, she was already 6cm dialated when we reached Dr. Meredith's office and so it was a rush to get her back to the house, grab her things, wait for Garry to return from Idaho Falls, and then get her into the delivery room! Well, her labor was very rapid, lasting only a total-from start to finish- about 61/2 hours. She delivered Adam at 5:57pm with no complications (and she did it all natural-drug free!) She is amazing! Blake and I remained at her house that day, deep cleaning and tidying so that the new parents would come home to a beautiful stress free house.
Adam is now about two weeks old and thriving. He sleeps ALL the time. Everytime I see him, it's either 'sleep sleep sleep' or 'eat eat eat'! That boy-he silly! He has finally picked up breastfeeding, I think, at least that is what Michelle says. I was worried he might be collicky, but it turns out his sleeping schedule is just really off lol...so Michelle is just exhausted poor girl-I feel for her, but I guess that will be me in just a few weeks!
