We began our adventures on the first day at the Islands of Adventure! It is in this magical place where you can frolic with the Cat in the Hat, run from a dinosaur, explore Poseidon's Temple, and fly on a broomstick with Harry Potter! It was the best place in the world!

We first decided to explore Jurassic Park. They have actual recreations of many of the things happening in the movie. There is a discovery center, pathways where dinosaurs might be encountered, and a great river raft ride that gives you an exclusive tour of all the parks features. Including seeing a dinosaur hatch from an egg!

This was in the Discovery Center!

We were there for the egg hatching of a baby raptor. One member of the audience was selected to name it--and Blake was selected! He named it Jessica! (though dont ask me why ;0) We even got a birth certificate for it. Great souvenir!

"Mommy, Im not sure I want a raptor for a pet. Just get me a puppy!"

Blake and Alex showing off how big the castle really is! We could see it from Jurassic Park!

That's right, diva! Strut your stuff! lol, jk. no, I really just felt like letting lose a little. I was in Florida for goodness sake.

Being silly while daddy rode the river ride. You see, they had a child swap program there which allowed Blake and I to ride all the rides we wanted to and not have to worry about Alex. We would just wait in line and then at the front, we would switch off-one riding and the other waiting. I loved it and thought it was very convenient.

The River Raft Adventure took you on a tour of Jurassic Park. I got to see a brontosaurus, several water dinosaurs (I was sprayed by one of them), and a stegosaurus. Then, the security gates were broken down, and we had to face raptors and other carnivorous creatures. At the end, we had to escape the jaws of the T-rex and then plunge headlong into a river. It was crazy!

Alex thinks its funny.

So did Blake, lol!

A fossilized Triceratops. What a discovery!

So I knew that there would be fossilized reptiles in the park, but I didn't expect real ones. The reason I took this picture was b/c I thought this little lizard was made of plastic and electronics like the dinosaurs. But, no, it was real and I thought it was so cool!

The T Rex assuring our "safe" exit from the park! On to The Lost Continent!
YES, I remember you! Your son is beautiful- he's so big now!! I hope that French is still going good. If you ever wanna chat and practice le francais, let me know!!
