Not for Blake...but for me. So as mentioned in the previous post, I was struggling with the idea of taking an internship with Alex and everything. I just wanted to be done with my Bachelor's so that I could fulfill the Lord's wish for me and then be home with my adorable boy.
So, after some consideration, I have decided to apply to the Universities Studies degree that they offer on campus with an emphasis in Sociology. This way all the sweat and tears of the Sociology classes do not go to waste and I will still be able to say "I did it!" Basically, the University Studies degree allows the student the opportunity to customize and specialize a degree that works for them. I do not need an internship for this degree-thank goodness. And since I am not going to grad school, this seems like an optimum choice.
Overall, I feel that this will be the best decision. I am only in need of five credits; one religion class (Doctrine and Covenants) and one other Sociology class (Theory of Death and Dying). I will only be gone 3 hours a week, during which, Alex will hopefully would be enrolled in the campus toddler lab. Other than that, I will take D&C online and get to be home with him the rest of the time.
Alex is at a very crucial time where he needs me, and this option will satisfy my personal goals and still get to cater to my son's needs.
Here's to graduating!
