So many of you know already, but I thought I'd share the news here.
Blake got accepted into the Disney College Internship Program!
He will be working at Walt Disney World in Orlando as a Lifeguard.
I was so excited for him; its something that he wanted to do so badly.
He will being paid $12.30/hr. which is the highest paying positions in the program. He will be reporting for duty on January 16th and will be working there until May 3rd.
When we got the news, we scrambled to come up with ways that we could all afford to move down there together. But unfortunately, because it is only for a four month period, renting an apartment off the Disney college housing seemed pointless and way to expensive a venture. I can't live with him in the housing because I am not in the program, so only option was to split ways for four months.
Sad :0( ? I know! But he wanted it so badly, and I didn't want him to have to miss out just because of us. Plus, this will provide us with tremendous opportunities after. We plan on moving back here after the internship and he will start work at Rexburg Rapids, the water park where he worked this last summer. He might even get a position as a head guard, which would be amazing.
So in a nutshell, he will fly to Orlando on the 15th after dropping me off at his parents place.
We have already planned two trips that I am going to take. One for Alex's 2nd birthday and another for our anniversary. So although the separation will be hard, the perk is that I will get two Disney World vacations out of the whole venture.
It will be fine I guess. We've done it before (when we were engaged) and although it was extremely difficult, we managed. We've also grow A LOT as a couple and I don't think it will be too bad. We know how much we love each other, we're not insecure with pre-wedding jitters, and I have Alex to keep me company-and believe me, he is a hand full.
So now the mission is to save up money for the trips and make the most of these next 10 weeks. Make amazing memories for this holiday season!
Bon Voyage to us both-for a season!
He will be here...
I will be here...
He will be here....

And I will be here...
I think he got the better end of the deal, lol. Til next time! Love y'all.
(Since I'm going to Texas, I should talk like them, right?)
