A Florida Thanksgiving 2012

So I know that these posts are entirely out of order, but I forgot to post Thanksgiving before I posted the Disney Parade and Family photos.  I thought about just skipping it, but it was such a good day that I couldn't bring myself to not blog about all the fun that we had.  That's actually been the theme I think since we've started living here, FUN and more FUN.  Maybe it's Disney, maybe it's just the warm weather all the time, but it has been wonderful and I don't think I would change a thing right now despite how tight and financially stressful things have been.

First off, I wanted to share photos that I took when Alex and I went with our friend Sasha to Magic Kingdom about a week before Thanksgiving.  We decided to do character meet and greets that day-one because we didn't feel like riding rides; two because it was something different to do; and three because at the time, all my little boy could talk about was Cinderella.  He is so funny.

Rupunzal.  After we met her, she became Alex's new favorite princess.

Aurora from Sleeping Beauty

Cinderella, his favorite princess at the time.  I think he was nervous meeting her in person.

But he did give her a really sweet hug. ;0)

Mickey Mouse and the cartoons are not his favorite characters to meet.  It must be the giants heads and the no talking thing.  But, he begrudgingly let us take a picture.

Another hug.  This time with Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog

My favorite Prince is Flynn Rider from Tangled.  But second to him, its Prince Naveen.  Here is my glamor shot!

Sitting in a carriage, which he thought was so cool!

Our neighbors got really festive and decorated the whole front of their lawn!  It was so nice to have it outside our window.  It definitely made up for the lack of snow...well, sort of...

Rocking the Santa hat.

A different day at the park.  Meeting the rabbit from Alice and Wonderland

On Thanksgiving Day, we got ready, prepped the turkey, and then began the process of Christmas decorating.  Its all about bringing Christmas inside, since it doesn't look like it much outside.

Thanksgiving Day.  Getting the house decorated.

Putting up the tree.

Putting the star on top.

Our Thanksgiving Table.  So Blessed.

And yes, that is wine in the photo.  We had Sasha and her aunt Betty over for Thanksgiving, and they brought some for themselves.  Dinner was served about 6:30pm.  We all talked and ate til we were stuffed.  Then we played a monopoly game while Alex crashed for the night.  After Betty left, we ate pie and watched Holiday in Handcuffs.  Its such a cute movie.
WE are so blessed and I sometimes wonder why God sees fit to bestow so much of His grace upon us.  I know I shouldn't wonder and should just take ever blessing with an air of gratitude.  But all I can do is be sure to express that gratitude, and be sure to live up to those marvelous blessings everyday.  I want to publicly express love and gratitude to all my family and friends who are reading this.  You were greatly missed today-a day when you want those you love most surrounding you.  But know you were in our thoughts and prayers, and continue to be in them always.  Love everyone so much and so blessed to be with my two wonderful boys who make everyday interesting, but who I love serving soo much!
Happy Thanksgiving!
