Holiday Lookback

The Holidays were a whirlwind and I literally took hundreds of photos that will span the length of a single photo album.  But, since most of the photos are already on my Facebook page, I will share only 16 of my favorite shots (not including the professional Christmas photo that is exclusively on Facebook).

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was wonderful.  Spent two months celebrating since we went to the MK party in Spetember.  Alex LOVES Halloween.  He is slightly obsessed....it took til nearly Christmas morning to get him to stop talking about it.  But it was crazy wonderful goodness.  I made Alex's costume, threw him a terribly successful Halloween toddler party, enjoyed the parks, carved pumpkins, and enjoyed watching Alex get scared and finding the fun in it.  I also kept myself busy with an enorimity of projects-all holiday related of course...

My pillow project.

Alex is Jake, from the Neverland Pirates!  Made the vest myself.

Our funny Jack O Lantern

Halloween Night.  I favor the undead look-just once a year.

Trick or Treat-for reals!

THANKSGIVING

For Thanksgiving, we had the Elder's over and fed them.  Then we went and ate with our ward family-the Whites and the Becks.  It was great.  Good food and amazing company-its what the day is all about right?  We then tackled Black Thursday at Walmart and got most everyone's presents.  The next day we watched Holiday in Handcuffs, and the elves came to decorate the tree!

In early Dec, I took Alex to MK to see the Christmas stuff before they blocked out cast.  He got to be enlisted in the pirates league and meet Jack Sparrow.  He was enthralled.  He is obsessed with anything pirates.

Asking Santa for the Jolly Roger, which he earned by showing good behavior everyday til Christmas.

Had to go back and meet Periwinkle, who only leaves the Winter Woods at Christmastime.  Sry Alex is giving the finger...

Love our Mommy/Son Dates.  They are a renewal for us to get to spend time together.

Merida, from Pixar's Brave

We stayed to see the castle deck out for Christmas.  It was a most magical experience!

Loving the front row seats and the beautiful sparkling lights.

Another day, I took my good friend here and her son to MK.  For privacy,  I won't share names, but this little boy is Alex's bestest friend.

Santa sent us an elf this year.  He decorated the tree, and hung around all season to report good/bad behavior to the big boss.  Alex named him Flash.

 CHRISTMAS

For Christmas, Blake's parents drove out from TX.  It was fun to have family with us, since we did a solo holiday last year.  It was nice to have the company, and with Blake's new job, he got to take off for most of it.  It was great to see him, unlike Epcot of 2012 lol.

Santa at Epcot, Christmas around the World.  He is the real deal and Alex saw him last year.

Osbourne Lights at Hollywood Studios.  Loving the music, the "snow", and the ambiance.

LOVE this photo!!!!!

Christmas Eve before Santa. I think our tree is going to collapse from the weight of it.

Handmade brand new stockings, courtesy of myself.  Although Blake did do the ribbon characters, which is kind of his new hobby.

SO happy to have the ship.  Santa listened and it was well earned!
Loving the new year and loving life.  I always love the closeout to the old and am so excited for the new.  I am out of pictures, and if you haven't gotten your fill, go to Facebook and look me up.  And check out my bro's blog.  He has lots of beautiful pictures from Japan. I will probably blog next weekend on V-day, shopping sprees, and pre-school registration!
Til then, au revoir!
