Start of 2014

So the start of 2014 has been a little bit more hectic then we would've liked it to be...but as always, there have been some really good moments as well.  In the beginning of January, my little cuddlebuddy started Sunbeams-can you believe it?  I am floored that he is old enough.  When I started this blog, he wasn't even born- we were awaiting his arrival-and here it is, a sunbeam!  Crazy how time flies.  Alex is loving every second of it and my bestest friend is his teacher, so that makes for a great and wonderful relationship.  She knows Alex really well and can respond well to his needs and he is so proud to be a big boy.  He actually told me about how proud he was to use the potty all by himself and that Sister "so and so" let him.

Thanks to my girlfriend for making me look bad lol.  My three year old thinks I'm a hovering crazy mom already cause I take him to the potty with me.  I can't wait to see how crazy he thinks I am ten years from now...ah, can't wait for fourteen *not*

Anyways, doing well on every other front.  Chores are done and dinners get made.  Our tax refund arrived early which made for some nice shopping sprees.  Granted, it was all for necessary items, but I did get a new laptop out of it (to replace a broken computer) and we treated the family to the Disney Infinity system.  Alex is in love and we need to learn how to play better so we can have legit family game nights.  We even bought him his own controller, peewee sized, so that he could play with us on some of the four player games.  He is super siked.  He loves doing anything with Mommy and Daddy.

Been over to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom this year.  Did the zooish portion of Animal Kingdom and it was like a day the zoo.  It was nice.  MK was spent with the girl's from church all doing a playgroup there.  It was unique and really fun and something we should probably do more often.

Planning on a pirate theme for his birthday.  So I have been getting ready for that.  I am also trying to get myself together to update my brother's blog-I am like three months behind and its really sad.  He will be so disappointed if I let it slip, so I should really get on the ball about it.  I know I need to, its just finding the motivation.  Hopefully, things will slow down a little and I will choose to make time.  I have also spent my alone time watching dumb shows including but not limited to The Bachelor, Sister Wives, America's Top Model: Guys vs Girls, and lot of other TLC time wasters.  If I spent less time on that and more on the blog and the party, all would be taken care of.  Wow, that sounds like a lecture to myself.  Ah well, that's about it for the Rawls this time.  Next post will be on Alex's bday and some possible unexpected surprises...stay tuned lol
