This past weekend was great! It is always uplifting and wonderful to hear the words of the living prophets giving us their guidance and wisdom. I love hearing the word of the Lord, given in humility for our day, guiding us on what areas of our lives need improvement. Blake and I were really touched by the words of the apostles this year. My favorite addresses were by Elders Bednar, Holland, and Ballard. Saturday's sessions was wonderful! (That's when those three spoke) It addressed The Family: A Proclamation is distinct order starting with the separate roles of the priesthood and womanhood followed by our missions for God and too our families. It was a great reinforcement of my testimony of the family and a great reminder of the responsibility that I have to my husband and son.
What a blessed experience to have Sunday's sessions fall on Easter! To hear all the marvelous testimonies of Christ that day allowed my testimony to be edified and uplifted and strengthened. President Monson bore a beautiful address as did many others and I thank them for their strength and testimonies-they help keep my testimony strong! My little man, Alex, enjoyed his first Easter. The grandparents got him some nice gifts and he even got Brother Bear on DVD from his Auntie Lisa--Kay. (He may not understand it now, but he'll like it later lol) His favorite gift though has to be the cutest little rubber duckie that Mommy and the Easter Bunny found for him. He loves the squeaking sound that it makes-it makes him smile!
HOORAY for the season of rememberence and reflection about the sacrifice that Christ gave so that we may in turn return to him. I want to bear my testimony that I know that he lives and is wanting us all the come unto him and partake of everlasting happiness. WE can turn to him and let him bear our burdens, for He atoned that we may have that priveldge. I thank him with all my heart and will one day weep and kneel at his feet in gratitude for my many merciful blessings. I know that He loves me and that He loves and cares for my family! I thank Him for guiding me to a wonderful husband who cares and loves me deeply and only ever thinks of my well being. I grateful for the blessing of being a mother. Alex is a joy and a sugarplum to raise! He is full of light and life. God has been gracious with me. I say this is Jesus' holy name, even Christ, Amen! ;0)
