Valentine's Day Catchup

In all the excitement surrounding Alex's birthday, Valentine's Day usually gets overlooked.  But this was a pretty nice one despite Blake having to work long hours on the day of and having a lack of babysitting offers for the previous or coming weekend.
Blake surprised me with some nice gifts.
I made a homemade candlelit dinner for after work.
Overall, a great day I'd say...here are the photos.
Cause you know me...a picture is worth a thousand words. ;0)

The Spread...our tax return blew in the day before, so Blake spoiled me just a little bit.  The wrapped package is actually my new ceramic pots and pan set that I had been waiting to get.  They are amazing.  Used them for everything and absolutely nothing sticks!  The downer? You have to hand wash them cause the dishwasher is too hot and will ruin the ceramic.  But, all that aside, loving me the Twilight Dolls.  Just have six more and I'll have the complete set!

Loving his VDAY basket full of treats.

Alex did a little sticker craft that day.  He got it in his V-day trinkets basket...since he's still to young to read Valentine's.

One of the only times of the year that I will let him buy me flowers-especially roses.  Love my baby pink roses though.

My pretty self.  I dolled up and surprised him.  Teehee!

The candlelit dinner.  Chicken cordon bleu with cheese ravioli and strawberry cupcakes for dessert.

As for a quick catchup, I have pictures of Easter that I will post as well as the trip to the Flower and Garden Festival.  Blake got a promotion to the Disney Vacation Club as a Office Coordinator and he has been loving it!  He gets an office and gets to work for the company, but still enjoy a grownup atmosphere.  The pay is better, which we need, and its been really really good for his emotional well being to make the change.  He is currently training for that and should be fully into the job by May.  Hoping to fill our summer with lots of plans including a trip to the beach as well as some wonderful trips to the parks.  This weekend is General Conference, which I will post on separately, and it has been a great strength and renewal to hear words from the prophet and apostles of God.  They have had some great things to say.   I intend to really start planning and implementing themed week with Alex starting on the 14th.  And Blake and I celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary on Wednesday the 10th.  So thats the Reader's Digest version of our past month in a half and we hope that everyone is being blessed as much as we are.
Love and peace to you all!
